It's one of those recipes that has the simple concept of just adding a few extra ingredients to a common recipe, and what comes out on the other side is astonishing. Enhanced with an extra delicious garlic-lemon flavor, it's a step up from your everyday mayonnaise.

When we order something like this at dinner, we often don't really think about how simple it is at home. While this is definitely a short version, it can rival the taste of any aioli you can find in a restaurant!

What is aioli?

Well, genuine aioli originally had nothing to do with mayonnaise, believe it or not. It started out as a popular sauce in the Mediterranean that consisted of a whipped emulsified mixture of olive oil, garlic, and salt that resulted in a creamy, textured flavor. But getting that creamy texture of olive oil and garlic takes a lot of effort, so a shortcut version was born. Hello mayonnaise.

These days we can't obtain enough of the creamy, dreamy stuff that is basically the ingredients for mayonnaise (store bought or not), with added flavors like garlic and lemon, among others.

Variations

Learning how to make garlic aioli is basically foolproof. Once you've tried it, you'll be looking for an excuse to do it. Then you can try adding a few different flavor options as listed below.

  • Spicy – For example, add one of your favorite spices Buffalo sauce, a pinch of paprika, chilli flakes or some Sriracha sauce. A bit of Dijon mustard as a kick would be kind too!
  • Fried and smoky – For a milder garlic flavor, fry the garlic bulbs to add to your aioli. You can also add some toasted red peppers or sun-dried tomatoes for a sweet and smoky touch.

What is served with

It's one of my favorite creamy and wealthy seasonings that can be used for almost anything. I enjoy it with anything that is grilled. grilled salmon, grilled sweet potatoes, and all mine fried vegetables. My kids love to animate them hamburger with something extra on the side for dipping Sweet potato fries or fried potatoes. Honestly, it's an excellent way to obtain them to eat more veggies!

You can also use it as a cream. coleslaw Dressing and crackers and vegetable sauce too! It's also a great dipping sauce for starters. Pigs in blanket or Breadsticks. Believe me, there is always a reason to eat it!

  • 1/3 Cup mayonnaise
  • 2. clove of garlic , 1 teaspoon chopped
  • 2. teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 2. teaspoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper , taste
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. Whisk until combined. Pepper and salt to taste.

  • Store in the refrigerator until use. Serve with meat, vegetables and side dishes.
