This recipe is ancient but good! Instead of doing handmade wet cake It starts from scratch with a can of cake mix. Next, the secret is to mix up the extra chocolate chips and add a layer of caramel in between. So wealthy and corrupt!

Cooking on Sundays is a family tradition, and this caramel cake comes up quite a lot. Fast, simple and good taste. Extremely wealthy and sweet oozing sticky caramel. What makes this recipe so simple is that you only make one can of toffee cake mix! Chocolate chips, flavored condensed milk, and caramel add the great dimension and bring these chocolate and caramel brownies to the top.

  • Chocolate cake mix box: I used Duncan Hines, but I can use the favorite brand too.
  • Vegetable oil: This helps the cake to be super moist and soft.
  • Eggs: You will need 2 large eggs.
  • Sugar condensed milk: Do not skip this one! There are cakes excellent sweetness.
  • Chocolate chips: The more chocolate the better! 🙂
  • Caramel: You can use pieces of caramel or wrapped caramel.

How to make caramel cake

  1. Stir in the batter. In a large bowl, mix the cake mixture, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Then mix 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk and add the chocolate chips.
  2. Make a caramel mix. Combine the caramel and 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for a minute. Mix and add an additional 15-30 seconds if necessary.
  3. Layer. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9 × 9 inch pan, then pour caramel over it. Pour the remaining batter over the caramel and distribute evenly.
  4. To bake. Bake at 350 ° F for 25-35 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let it cool down. Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool down. Then cut the cakes into squares with a knife.

Cooking tips

  • Align the ceiling. Press the foil onto the pan for simple cleaning and removal. I like to let the cakes hang by the edges enough that I can easily lift them out of the pan after they cool.
  • Inclined. Box Mix definitely makes this recipe simple, but you're welcome to make it. handmade wet cake from scratch if you want.
  • Double caramel. If you like caramel, you can double the layer of caramel. One reader did this and said it was great!
  • Tissue. These cupcakes are super cute and sticky. If you're not a sticky brownie fanatic, cook them a small longer.
  • Let it cool down. Though tempting, don't cut them straight out of the oven. You need time not to fall apart.
  • To cut. Use a plastic knife to easily cut the cakes without smearing.
  • Freeze. After it has completely cooled, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap, then wrap it again with plastic wrap. Then put it in the freezer. Leave to thaw at room temperature until it stops freezing.
