This elegant rustic French farmhouse Fergus Garber ArchitectsLocated in Woodside, a town in San Mateo County, California. This exclusive property includes a 4,872-square-foot main house, pool house, 393-square-foot art studio, 1,124-square-foot detached garage and 968-square-foot guest house.
With its stone and plaster facade, this residence is reminiscent of rustic stone houses in the south of France. The residence offers expansive views over the pool and courtyard on one side and an enclosed courtyard on the other. The history of modern technology is in the details, as the whole house can be remotely controlled with iPads embedded in the walls or with a phone.
He wanted a contemporary home and a rustic French farmhouse as the backdrop for this project. This house lends more to the latter, but the detailing and programming gracefully lean on the former. Instead of dividing this home into a formal living / dining / kitchen area, the family comes together in a more modern and relaxed way.
In a room where their lives are shared with each other and with their friends. Each has its own offices and dressing areas. The family room is traditionally upstairs and not next to the kitchen. This is where homework is done, they spend a lot of time with their parents instead of in their own separate rooms.
Our beloved ones: This rustic French farmhouse has an absolutely stunning exterior with a romantic courtyard design and no frills back yard. Inside, modern living spaces are combined with rustic accents to invite warmth. The owner's dream suite has a private terrace that provides a quiet place to relax.
