Sesame Air Fryer Mushrooms


Flavored with sesame oil and soy sauce, these air fry mushrooms taste great with very small effort! It's a simple, low-carb side dish.

Necessary ingredients for the production of deep-fried mushrooms
  • Mushroom You can use any type of mushroom for this recipe; I tested it with both button and cream. You can cut them in a number of ways or abandon them entirely. I thought it tasted top for up to four as the small pieces of sesame oil and soy sauce absorbs well.
  • Soy sauce- I use soy sauce with reduced sodium content in all of my recipes. If you're gluten-free, replace it with tamari or coconut amines
  • Sesame oil- I used regular sesame oil. The taste can be stronger if you use fried sesame oil.

Step by step instructions

1. Prepare the mushrooms Wash the mushrooms and gently dry them. Cut the top of the stem and then into quarters. Add the sesame oil and soy sauce. If you have the time, let it sit for 30 minutes.

2. Cooking Heat your air fryer to 200 ° F. Place the mushrooms in the basket, cook for 12-15 minutes and shake the basket several times. Cook until everything is well browned and completely covered (as in the picture below).

FAQ

Can I cook whole mushrooms in the air fryer?

Yes, you can abandon the mushrooms whole, but I've found that when they're cut into quarters or sliced, they absorb more flavor. If you stop completely, you will need to increase the cooking time.

Can I cook frozen mushrooms in the air fryer?

Although I did not try the mushrooms, I successfully cooked many frozen vegetables in the deep fryer. I mixed the soy and sesame oils, shook off the excess, and added a few minutes to the cooking time to take into account that they were frozen.

Can I cook this in an oven deep fryer?

Yes you can, but keep in mind that if you spread them, the mushrooms will likely cook faster. Shake these, rotate the trays, and check them often.
