These oven-roasted sweet potatoes are the great accompaniment to any meal. I do a Whole30 every January and these repeat every week. Not only are they healthy, but also perfectly crispy and caramelized.

What I love about roasting vegetables in the oven is that they bring out all of the delicious natural flavors. They're so delicious I can eat them straight out of the pan! We love to serve them roasted chicken, steak and Eggs. In fact, they're a great addition Christmas dinner or Garnish for Thanksgiving. So many ways to enjoy them!

Do I have to take them off?

To be honest, you don't have to take them off. I prefer to peel them off, but if you don't mind your skin, let them loose. I would wash them thoroughly and cut off rotten pieces.

How to cut a sweet potato

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut off the ends, then cut them into 3 large pieces or 1/2 inch circles.
  3. Cut each piece into 1/2 inch cubes.

Do you need to cook it before frying?

You don't have to cook it before frying! Boiling the potatoes will make them kind and soft without boiling. They're also roasted over high heat, making them perfectly crispy and baked in just 30 minutes.

Favorite spices

I like to keep it simple while adding the seasoning. Below is my preferred combination, but I've listed other sweet and flavorful versions as well.

  • Favorite combination: Olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, chilli
  • Sweet version: Mix 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar and extract the red pepper powder.
  • Spicy version: Add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Other spices to use: Italian spiceCumin, onion powder, rosemary, etc.

How to fry a sweet potato

  1. Preheated oven. Preheat the oven to 425 ° F and spray the baking sheet with a nonstick spray.
  2. Season the potatoes. Put it on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Add salt, pepper and chili peppers.

Roasting tips

  • Cut them into equally sized pieces so that they bake evenly in the oven.
  • Spray the baking sheet so that the potatoes don't stick to the pan.

  • 3 Sweet potatoes (4-5 cups) peeled and diced
  • 2-3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon Quality sea salt to taste more
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to taste more
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chili powder to taste more
