Roasting tips

  • Root and soft vegetables. If you are using Root Mix and Do not put soft vegetables in the pan right away. Roasting root vegetables takes longer than roasting soft vegetables. So let it cook first and then add half of the softer vegetables.
  • Use what's in season. Feel free to commute it all year round. Use fresh squash, squash, or tomato in summer, squash or delicatessen squash, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes in winter.
  • Do not overfill the pan. Vegetables should be in a pan. single Layer (not overlapping). If you overfill the pan, you will lose that crispy texture as you will steam instead of frying.
  • Chop evenly. Cut the vegetables into evenly sized pieces so that they cook evenly in the oven. I also cut my broccoli and cauliflower flowers in half so that they lie lengthways on the baking sheet. This will make them extra crispy.
  • Throw it halfway. Don't forget to give them a chance up to halfway through the roast so that they are crispy and baked evenly on all sides.
  • Add protein. You can make a whole fried dish out of this by adding some protein to the pan. We like to do Sausage and vegetables Or mine Balsamic Chicken and Vegetables.
