How to make elven pancakes

  1. Preparation: Preheat the grill or pan over medium to high heat. Melt the butter in the microwave and let it cool down.
  2. Clap: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add: Then add the buttermilk and butter and mix until everything is well mixed. Mix the eggs and vanilla until the batter is smooth and most of the lumps are gone.
  4. To bake: Cover the grill with butter and pour the batter into the juicy pan at 1/4 cup per pancake. Bake on one side until bubbles appear.
  5. Translate: Turn the other side to cook until lightly browned.
  6. Secret: In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and butter at room temperature. Add milk, vanilla and powdered sugar and stir until creamy. If necessary, add more milk for a finer consistency.
  7. Service: Pancakes should be served immediately, while they are still kind and hot, if possible. Spread the cream cheese on top and add whatever additional ingredients you want.

Pro tip: To save more time, you can use a boxed pancake mix instead. My favorite is a pinch of crusteaz. I love to do too homemade pancake mix to store in the pantry for busy mornings. That way they still arrive from scratch, but are as simple as Box Mix!

Keep warm, freeze and reheat

  • Warm, slightly warm: If you don't want to eat your pancakes right away or want to keep the first batch warm while you wait for the rest, place them on a baking sheet to keep them warm in the oven at 175 degrees. This low heat will keep the pancakes warm without drying them.
  • Freeze: Let the pancakes cool completely before placing them in the Ziploc bag. To avoid the pancakes from freezing in a pile, separate them with parchment paper. Lasts 2-3 months.
  • Warm up: You can heat these pancakes in the toaster or microwave for 30 seconds. The toaster method may not let you undo the soft, fluffy texture like you can in the microwave.
