Walker Warner Architects are responsible for the design of this astonishing concrete seaside retreat, nestled along the coast of Baja, Mexico. Created to be in harmony with its coastal environment, this fabulous retreat embraces beauty along with durability.
Custom concrete walls were fabricated to match to the color of local sand, poured in lifts to create a unique wavy texture that shifts as the light changes throughout the day. The structural form, concrete walls and site orientation work in harmony to stand up to seasonal storms and hurricanes.

With respect for the cultural context, the design reconceptualizes traditional Mexican courtyards and bold architectural forms that are typical of the region, yet in a more contemporary aesthetic. The courtyard serves as the heart of the home, erasing indoor-outdoor boundaries while capturing mesmerizing views of the Pacific Ocean.
The architecture is refined and melds with the landscape while the interiors propose a playful contrast with vibrant colors and bold patterns. Every last detail exudes a sun-kissed quality, assimilating the architecture into its natural context.
What We Love: This concrete seaside retreat offers the ultimate vacation home with its magnificent views and indoor-outdoor living experience. An open concept design and expansive living spaces offers an abundance of opportunities to entertain family and friends in opulent luxury.
