Hayer architecture together Hill Construction Company He created this modernist paradise that overlooks the La Jolla coast in San Diego, California. This specially designed residence is a sculptural expression of concrete and glass that forms the basis for the owner's large art collection.
The project team structured the design of this house so that it merges with its natural landscape: a protective wall mimics the cul-de-sac in the east, while the design follows the curved lines of the cliff in the west – to ensure privacy and at the same time maximize the view.
Architectural details ensured a great construction: floor-to-ceiling windows and doors as well as minimalist displays define "floating" walls between the great shadow lines in the long T-shaped foyer.
The courtyard offers frameless glass access to this magnificent modern paradise. From there, the lines of sight extend to a pool with negative edges that hangs between the sky and the sea throughout the residence.
What we love: This modernist paradise offers a breathtaking sculptural design that enters the lovely coastal landscape. Large windows not only propose breathtaking views, but also fill the interior with daylight. We especially love outdoor living spaces, from the infinite pool to the sunken seating area – great for family life and fun … especially with this fascinating view!
Tell us: What do you think about the design of this house? Do you think the project team did a good job of creating a home that shows not only contemporary art but also a view of the coast? Let us cognize in the comments!

The interior promotes an uninterrupted life indoors and outdoors, great for fun. Notable options conclude four pocket glass walls, a radiantly heated veranda and a multi-storey terrace with some elbows.
