How to prepare

We combine brown sugar (or coconut sugar), pepper powder, cumin, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and chilli to prepare the fajita spice. Mix to combine. Use the spice immediately or store it in an airtight container in the pantry for a year.

Recipe tips

  • Sugar – most fajita spice recipes don't contain sugar, but I've really added the flavors well. Leave it out if you want
  • Cayenne pepper – As this spice mix says, there is a very light spice. Feel free to raise it to make the stranger easier or to completely exclude it.
  • Pickled – combine it with lemon juice and olive oil to make a marinade.
  • Salt – This spice mix contains salt. Regardless of what you use, you don't have to add salt.
  • This recipe is almost half a cup, but can easily be doubled or tripled and kept for a long time.

How do you use this spice?

Before adding the spice, toss your protein or vegetables into some olive oil and lemon juice in a large container. Sprinkle and fold the spices over it.

There are many different ways to cook your fajitas:

  • slow cooker– See me Crockpot Chicken Fajitas
  • Leaf pan– See me Fajita leaf pan
  • pan– Works great for chimpanzees! Fry until the protein is cooked and onion + pepper soften
  • grill– Works great for steak! Grill until the protein is cooked and onions + pepper are soft (you can invest in a grill plate with vegetables to avoid them from falling off the grill).

How much spices are used?

Don't be afraid to use this spice aggressively. We recommend 2-3 tablespoons per kilo of chicken, shrimp or steak.
