How to make homemade cookies and sauces

BROWN. In a large pan, cook the sausages until golden brown over medium heat, cut in half. Place on a plate to cool.

COOK. Bring the heat to medium. Then beat 3 tablespoons of flour and sausage oil with a milk broth. Stir the sauce smoothly in a small more milk. Then whisk the rest of the milk. Bring to a boil until it thickens slightly for about 5 minutes.

Tips and Tricks

Don't let the fat drain

After cooking the sausage, the oil cannot be drained! You want to use it in making sauces. Flour and milk are cooked with fat to achieve a stronger sausage taste.

  • 12th ounce Packet of pork sausages (Patties or ground; I used Jimmy Dean)
  • 3-4 tablespoon All-purpose flour (or as needed)
  • 2nd cups milk
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Cook the sausage patties in a large pan over medium-high heat until golden brown. Turn them into half of the boil. Transfer the meatballs to a plate while cooking.
