X House by Sincresis Arquitectos
Sincresis arquitectos He completed a project in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. The X-shaped exterior, which quickly becomes noticeable, is the source of the title of X House, a modern single-story family house with a living space of less than 2,100 square meters. Thanks to its large, glazed surfaces, which serve to bring warm, natural light into minimalist interiors, it also has a strong connection to its outside environment.
This project is located in the north of the city of Cordoba, Argentina, in a closed area at the foot of the city. The structure is in a corner and is preferred by orientations and existing vegetation. It is located on the main axis to preserve existing trees and create openness to the north. A harmonious atmosphere is created in front of the garden, in which the opening of all surroundings is directed. This is done with the help of landscape and field work to create a filter for the street contact of the house.
This single-family home project was developed on the premise of maintaining the continuity and fluidity of indoor and outdoor spaces. In Casa X, plasticity plays a key role when it comes to expressing the upper and lower levels in two stripes.
The first emerges from the floor as the floor of social spaces and becomes the ceiling of private spaces, while maintaining the same height in bedrooms and bathrooms. Secondly, it forms the floor of the bedroom area and becomes a ceiling for the kitchen, living room and dining room, which extends to a gallery with a grill and offers a two-way tilting movement (lengthways and below the building), creating the viewing angle from the social space is enlarged and prioritized outwards.
The organization chart of the rooms is crossed in the longitudinal direction by a circulation axis that divides the service areas on the back. The entrance to the house is made in the middle, the bedrooms on one side, the living room, the dining room and the gallery on the other side. The service strip is divided by an inner courtyard, which separates the dependencies of the social area (kitchen, laundry, grill) from the private area (bathroom and dressing room) and provides it with daylight.
In terms of materiality, three elements are adopted and specific functions are specified. Concrete is used to create the main structure of the structure. Due to its plasticity and movement, the trace of the facade is created at a central point. A white area is given for emphasis. The side protection devices have glass as the main material, which forms the boxes covered by the plates.
This material is presented almost completely in the social area, while it is combined with masonry in the bedroom area to create privacy for each area. Flooring expands as a sunscreen and creates a wide shady area for the open gallery and grill industry. Mobile panels made of perforated sheet are installed as a second sight and sun filter in the bedroom area.
Casa X was designed at a time when Síncresis Arquitectos was fully discovered, which led to the production of the concept of sculptures worth living in. In this way we design architecture, from emotional and sensory experiences to the past, present and future of our customers.
