LA House Esquadra Arquitetos + By Yi Arquitetos
LA House is a lovely and modern house for a young couple and their daughter. Located in Brasilia, is the result of collaboration between. Yi Arquitetos and Esquadra Arquitetos, then a long time ago GA house Project. Between the warm colors and the minimalist appearance of this house lies the stylish landscape, which is a great excuse to go out on your own and enjoy the open spaces. Inside, an open floor plan connects everything, even if the floor plan is divided into three levels with a total living space of less than 4,000 square meters.
This house plan was designed for a couple with two daughters and uses the sloping slope of an object in a residential complex. There is a height difference of approximately 2 meters between the front edge and the bottom edge of the ensemble, which corresponds to the surrounding wall of the ensemble. The aim was to design the project so that the house is more accessible and a more generous facade is created on a reasonable scale on the edge of the residential street.
The plan is divided into three levels. The ground floor is defined by a large plateau on the same level as the main entrance, which begins on the side path and extends to the rear of the property. Project on the deck of the leisure area in the garage.
Upstairs are three bedrooms and bathroom suites off the street and on the ground floor are on the wall that leads to the main entrance. This floor is located above the kitchen and service block. A hanging block is created on the upper floor, which forms the living and dining room on the ground floor. The garage is removed from the facade and hidden under the solarium in the lower level, making use of the reduced inclination of the festival. Since the property is 17.5 m wide, it is possible to open the garage from the front using a side ramp.
There is a social area overlooking the street, a TV room and a large garden between the guest suite. This area is required for natural lighting and ventilation of interiors. A hand-glazed tile panel painted by the host forms the background of the garden and social areas and can be seen from the recreation area. The vertical circulation takes place in a tower via a ladder which is embedded in a central column, which also carries the technical plates and water reservoirs at the top. A cover made of glass and perforated sheet provides the desired privacy and transparency for the vertical element, which is of great importance for the final volume composition.
In addition, there is a reflective layer of water on the main facade, which reflects the wooden panel and soothes the predominantly warm and dry air in Brazil. This water is an element that strengthens the direct connection between the house and the street. Finally, the rotating panels protect the interior from the afternoon sun without blocking the view from the outside.
