30th Street House by Blue Truck Studio
Blue Truck Studio We have designed a modern, modern city residence by the sea in Manhattan Beach near LA. The 30th Street House is a family home with simple shapes and rustic textures. The exterior is also great for privacy and the Alaskan yellow cedar is protected with a wood veneer wrapped around the entire shape.
The beach town of Los Angeles summer homes is thrilled with its location, but with its high-rise architecture from the 90s, the down-facing four-masted Blue Truck studio family is thrilled. What they had: octagonal rooms and triangular spaces and a house with wild geometry. What they wanted: The home of simple shapes and rustic textures like the Sea Ranch in Northern California.
On the outside, Blue Truck Studio has reconstructed the windows and added sidings by wrapping them around the house to simplify the form and ensure privacy. The special milled siding has been grayed out, especially as the weather changes over time to create a rustic patina reminiscent of the aesthetics of Alaska Yellow Cedar and Sea Ranch. Blue Truck Studio has created brand modern, quiet and open spaces that flow together easily.
They raised a chimney structure on the side of the hall, preventing the movement of the interior. Floor-to-ceiling windows open to the two verandas of the house, allowing a seamless transition from inside to outside. A revolving door and two large sliding doors provide plenty of light. On the outside of the house cedar siding is painted white and wrapped around the staircase of the house.
The renovation of the 3,770-square-foot Manhattan Beach, California home lasted 14 months. The family, based in the Los Angeles area, wanted to create a home comfortable enough to accommodate friends and families with relaxation and tranquility. The 4-bedroom house has plenty of gathering areas for entertainment and hidden living areas for privacy. There are many recreation areas and details. A converted garage has a playground and an art studio. In the meantime, the football field that turns into a driveway and an outdoor shower with slatted frame for a dip after your trip to the beach reflect the family's love for the outdoors.
